Jane, as those who are familiar with the movie know, is a daughter to the researcher who wanted to study gorillas.

The first episode in the series is meant to help the audience get used to this world and how it works, but the real story doesn’t start until the second episode, when Tarzan is a teenager and he meets his best ally in his quest for animal justice: Jane. It is a part of who Tarzan is and the audience grows to accept that as the series continues. While these abilities-which can also be called super powers-may turn some off, as it almost did for me, the series has a way of using them where the audience doesn’t even notice them half the time. It is here where a shaman’s magic and a scientist’s medicines come together to give Tarzan certain abilities that normal humans don’t have. After Kala, the gorilla who finds Tarzan, saves him from the plane crash that landed him in Africa, she takes him to a nearby village to get help. The audience is first introduced to Tarzan in much the same way he was in the movie: a terrible accident that caused him to be alone in a jungle where there is little life around, and a mother gorilla takes him under her wing, but that is where the similarities end. Based on the novel Tarzan of the Apes written by Edgar Rice Burroughs, it features Tarzan and Jane in a way that fans of the Disney movie have never seen before. Netflix, a well-loved system that allows millions to enjoy shows and movies without having to go through YouTube and similar sights, has had the brilliant idea to add the new series Tarzan and Jane to their list.

Since the movie’s release, there have been spin off series of cartoons and squeals, but nothing has been able to stand up to the original.
With great music, wonderful animation, and heart wrenching moments that would bring even the biggest tough guy to tears, Tarzan is a movie that remains on the top of the favorite list for many today.
